How we calculate the index
We use the asking price of listings active when the site is built, divided by the declared usable area. For every city and type combination we calculate the median, which is less affected by extreme values than the average.
Asking prices are not transaction prices and small samples can vary widely. Use the index as an indicative reference and request a valuation for a specific property. In this demo version the data comes from DEMO listings.
Frequently asked questions
Is the index a transaction price?
No. It is calculated from asking prices in active listings. The final negotiated price can differ.
Why are some values missing?
We only show a value when there are active listings for that city and type combination.
