We want Empire Terra to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever their device, abilities or assistive technology.
1. Target standard
We design the site against WCAG 2.2 level AA and the European standard EN 301 549, in line with Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act) and Romanian Law 232/2022.
2. What we have implemented
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
- Semantic heading structure, ARIA landmarks, labels on every form field and clear error messages.
- Checked contrast in both the dark and the light theme.
- Alternative text for images and descriptions for galleries.
- Support for the operating system “reduce motion” setting.
- Layouts adapted for small screens and zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
- Content available in Romanian and English.
3. Known limitations
- Interactive maps can be hard to use with screen readers; the area and approximate address are also shown as text.
- Some user uploaded photos may have brief descriptions.
- PDF documents received from third parties may not be accessible.
4. Feedback and support
If you run into difficulties, email contact@empireterra.ro or call +40 791 367 473. We reply within 5 working days and provide the information in an alternative format.
5. Assessment
This statement is based on a self assessment carried out in 30 October 2026, with automated and manual tests. We update it after every major change to the platform.
